University Medical Center Plays Pivotal Role in Advancing New Olive Crest Campus for Children and Families in Nevada

LAS VEGAS – April 20, 2026 – Olive Crest, a nonprofit organization serving children and families in crisis, proudly partners with University Medical Center (UMC), whose leadership and collaboration are helping advance a new campus dedicated to protecting children, strengthening families, and expanding services across Southern Nevada.

The new site, located at 4233 N. Rancho Drive, will serve as home to Olive Crest’s Children and Family Resource Center, as well as 16 new apartments designed to provide stability for teens and young adults aging out of the child welfare system. This expansion marks a significant and long-needed investment in the Las Vegas Community.

UMC’s Partnership Helped Bring the Project to Life

UMC’s partnership has played an instrumental role in advancing this vision by supporting the due-diligence process, offering guidance, and helping ensure a seamless collaboration with Clark County toward the campus development. Olive Crest extends deep appreciation for UMC’s commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable youth.

“UMC is proud to stand alongside Olive Crest … This new campus represents the kind of coordinated, trauma‑informed response Southern Nevada urgently needs, and we are grateful for partners who are committed to ensuring exploited children receive safety, dignity, and immediate access to care.” — Mason Van Houweling, CEO, University Medical Center

Clark County Partnership Strengthened the Vision

The County’s recent 25‑year renewable lease agreement for the Rancho Drive property established a solid foundation for the campus expansion, ensuring long‑term stability for services that will benefit thousands of children and families.

“Protecting our children, especially when they are in crisis, is a responsibility I care deeply about.” — Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick
