WRAPAROUND

Behavioral Health Specialist

FT/40 hrs. Provides direct service to children and families as identified in an individualized Wraparound plan of care. This position works independently in the family’s home and in a variety of community and/or treatment settings. Provides support services and skills training to children and family members including but not limited to behavioral modification programs, independent living skills, home management/household services, transportation assistance and temporary in-home caretaker. Qualified candidates must have Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and 1 year experience working with emotionally disturbed children in an institutional setting or 4 years’ experience working with emotionally disturbed children in an institutional setting. Reliable transportation, acceptable driving record and valid California DL required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. This position is at a hourly rate of $22.50/hr.

Peer Support Specialist (Palm Desert)

FT/40 hrs. Assists clinic clients in learning the skills necessary to interact successfully with adults and peers across all settings. The specialist creates opportunity for clients to practice prosocial behavior, problem solving, and coping skills which will prepare the client to transition to a less restrictive family setting with minimal reliance on formal supports. The specialist maintains a positive coaching and mentoring relationship with client/youth and serves as role model for client/youth to promote an optimal level of functioning. Qualified candidates must have been a former foster youth or recipient of mental health services. Reliable transportation, acceptable driving record and valid California DL are required. This position is at a hourly rate of $20/hr.

Residential

Rehabilitation Specialist (Perris)

FT/40 hrs. Assists STRTP clients in learning the skills necessary to interact successfully with adults and peers across all settings. Creates opportunities for clients to practice pro-social behavior, problem solving, and coping skills which will prepare the clients to transition to a less restrictive family setting with minimal reliance on formal supports. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ previous Mental Health experience. (Weekends required). This position is at a hourly rate of $22.50/hour.

Youth Partner (Perris)

PT & FT. Responsible for the supervision of youth (males and females, ages 12-18) in a residential group home. This includes mentoring and being a good role model, teaching independent living skills, behavior modifications and crisis management. Qualified applicants must be at least 21 years of age. One year of previous residential experience in a related field preferred, but not required. Bachelor’s degree required. This position is at an hourly rate of $21/hour.

ADMINISTRATION AND DEVELOPMENT

Director of Development (Bellflower)

FT/40hrs. Responsible for planning and implementing fundraising and public awareness activities in Los Angeles County that align with and support Olive Crest’s organizational goals for development, sustainability, and major gift initiatives. Qualified candidates must have 3 to 5 years of experience in fundraising, non-profits and working with volunteers. Starting rate is $130,000 per year.

FAMILY PRESERVATION

Child and Family Specialist (Bellflower)

FT/40 hrs. The Child and Family Specialist, under the guidance of the Program Supervisor and functioning as a member of an assigned team, provides direct service to children and families. This position works independently in the family’s home, and in a variety of community and/or treatment settings. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or related field, one-year experience working with high-risk youth, and must be bi-lingual (English/Spanish). Starting pay at $25 per hour.

Facilitator (Bellfower)

FT/40 hrs. The Facilitator is responsible for coordinating and implementing Wraparound services to each assigned client. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, one-year experience working with high-risk youth, and must be bi-lingual (English/Spanish). Starting pay at $26 per hour.

Mental Health

Bilingual Clinician (Bellflower)

FT/ 40 hrs. This position is responsible for providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults enrolled in our Mental Health programs. Develop and implement client treatment plans, provide related services such as case management and collateral care. Work in collaboration with other Mental Health staff including Clinicians, Psychiatrists, TBS/Behavioral Coaches, and other program’s staff. Assist with the coordination and facilitation of Medication Support Services provided by the agency’s contracted Psychiatrist. Qualified candidates must have a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work, and be registered with the BBS. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Starting pay range $76,000-$78,000 per year.

Comunity engagement

Community Engagement Manager (Bellflower)

FT/40 hrs. The Community Engagement Manager will act as a liaison between Olive Crest and the local community to provide opportunities for involvement. They will work closely with Program teams to ensure that families and children in our programs are being supported and needs are being met. The Community Manager will lead volunteer recruitment and community outreach program in Los Angeles. Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience in fundraising or community event organization.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. The starting rate is $67,000 per year.

Teacher (Garden Grove)

FT/40 hrs. Responsible for classroom management, curriculum based instruction, instruction aligned with Common Core Standards, and for the physical, psychological and social well-being of the students. Responsible to carry out instruction for students according to each student’s IEP.  Qualified candidates must have a valid Educational Specialist Credential or be Intern eligible. Starting rate of $60,000 per year.

Assistant Teacher (Garden Grove)

FT/ 40 hrs. Responsible for assisting teachers in guiding students in the classroom. Responsible for the transportation of students to and from school as directed by supervisor. Assist in record keeping, photocopying, tutoring, and behavior modification at educational site as needed. Qualified candidates must have at least an Associate’s degree or completed 2 years’ of post-secondary education. Related experience preferred. Assistant teachers with 30-day sub permits may also sub for a teacher. The subs will fill in during the absence of full-time staff. (ongoing recruitment) Starting pay rate of $20 per hour.

Unpaid Graduate Practicum (Garden Grove) 

PT/10-20 hrs. Provide supervised clinical services to Special Education students. Must be a current graduate student working on a master’s degree in social work, psychology or clinical counseling.

RESIDENTIAL

Youth Partner (Santa Ana)

FT, PT, Overnight. Supervise youth in a Residential group home. This includes mentoring and being a good role model, teaching independent living skills, behavior modifications, and crisis management. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or related field preferred but not required. Previous experience working with youth is preferred. Starting pay rate of $23 per hour.

VISITATION CENTER

Unpaid Undergraduate Internship (Santa Ana)

8 hrs/wk. The intern will assist with supervised and monitored visits in our Foster Visitation Center.  In this role, the intern will support families during their weekly visits with children placed in foster care.  Must be in junior or senior year of undergrad program with a clean criminal record.

FAMILY PRESERVATION

Child Care Assistant (Santa Ana)

PT/up to 10 hrs. Responsible to maintain a safe, pleasant, and playful environment for the children of parents attending an in-person instructor led Parenting Course. Will assist the instructors with facilitating questions and trouble-shooting technical issues during online courses. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma. Fluency in Spanish, Vietnamese or Arabic preferred. Starting pay rate of $20 per hour.

Quality Assurance Assistant (Santa Ana)

FT/ 40hrs. Responsible for implementation and maintenance of the department’s quality assurance for Orange County Programs. Responsible for accurate and timely data collection, entry, and review. Support overall program organization, communication, compliance, and administrative support. Qualified candidates must have related experience in administrative work. Fluency in Spanish is preferred.  Starting pay rate of $22 per hour.

Wraparound Parent Partner (Santa Ana)

FT/40 hrs. Works directly with families to provide social and emotional support and serve as a liaison between the Family Team and the service systems serving the participants, through a mentoring/coaching relationship. Qualified candidates must have related life experience as a parent or legal guardian of a child and experience as a recipient of services. Must speak fluent Spanish and have related, personal experience as a parent or legal guardian of a recipient of social services.  Starting pay rate of $24 per hour.

Wraparound Care Coordinator (Santa Ana)

FT/40hrs. Responsible for the coordination of care for clients, especially those involved with multiple systems of care. Facilitates Child and Family Team Meetings to ensure that Child, Family, and all formal and informal supports have voice in the process. Responsible for facilitating the development of the client’s integrated care plan. Qualified candidates must possess a related Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience or equivalent and speak fluent Spanish.  Starting pay rate of $26 per hour.

Wraparound Unpaid Undergraduate Internship (Santa Ana)

10-12 hrs/wk. Alongside one of our Wraparound team members, the intern will provide support to families by mentoring youth in the community.  Must be in junior or senior year of undergrad program with a clean criminal record.

COMMUNITY Engagement

Community Involvement Unpaid Undergraduate Internship (Santa Ana)

8-15 hrs/wk. Work with CI Coordinator to assist in the intake of donations of goods and services, the management of volunteers and the promotion of Olive Crest in the community.

Strong Families Unpaid Undergraduate Internship (Santa Ana)

8-15 hrs/wk. Work with the Strong Families Team to mobilize volunteer families to work with families in crisis. You will contact families that are interested in volunteering with Strong Families, answer their questions and send them the document they need to be cleared to take children into their home.

School Based Wraparound Youth Partner (Santa Ana)

FT/40hrs. Works directly with families to provide social and emotional support and serve as a liaison between the Family Team and the service systems serving the participants, through a mentoring/coaching relationship. This would include providing consistent, reinforcing support to youth that enables them to learn and practice pro-social behavior, problem solving, and coping skills in the least restrictive family setting with minimal reliance on formal supports.  Qualified candidates must possess a related Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience or equivalent and speak fluent Spanish. Starting pay rate of $24 per hour.

ADMINISTRATION AND DEVELOPMENT

Donor Development Associate (San Diego)

FT/40 hrs. Responsible to Fundraise for the San Diego region by interfacing with the community and major donors.  This role will take the lead for our Council of Volunteer Leaders who support Church Engagement and oversee our annual fundraising dinner.  Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience fundraising with non-profits and working with volunteers.  Starting pay range of $75,000 per year.

FOSTER AND ADOPTIONS

Administrative Assistant (San Diego)

FT/ 32hrs. Provide administrative support to San Diego regional office. This role is responsible for general office responsibilities like answering phones, photo copying and filing. Additionally, this role supports the Foster, Adoptions, and Community Engagement teams through tracking census, providing support in home visits, etc. This role is based in office but does require some field-based tasks. Qualified candidates should possess a related Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience or equivalent.  Starting pay rate of $20 per hour.

Home Study Writer (San Diego)

On-Call. The Home Study Writer works independently with adequate supervision to provide foster/adoptive family assessment. This role involves conducting thorough interviews, home visits, and background checks to ensure the safety and suitability of foster care environments. The worker will have excellent writing skills, a strong understanding of child welfare regulations, and the ability to produce comprehensive and accurate reports. Qualified candidates should have a related Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family counseling, child psychology, or related field and relevant work experience.  Starting pay rate of $40 per hour.

 

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Unpaid Administrative Intern (San Diego)

PT/10-20 hrs. The Church and Community Engagement Intern is responsible for assisting Olive Crest’s Church and Community Engagement team in San Diego County whose goal is developing sustainable church ministries caring for families in crisis and at-risk children. This will include the administration, recruitment, training and/or coordination of Church Advocates, Care Communities, Safe Families, Foster Families and Biological Families. Will work alongside the Church and Community Engagement team to create awareness to expedite the timely certification of volunteers, for all aspects of Olive Crest’s church engagement strategy.

Unpaid Graduate Practicum (San Diego)

PT/10-20 hrs.  The practicum student will gain hands-on experience supporting foster families and youth. Opportunities to support case management services for 2-4 children including meeting the child’s overall needs, supporting the families’ needs, and learn best practices in supporting reunification when appropriate. You will also have opportunity to learn home studies and hone your skills in social work.

Administrative

Human Resources Coordinator (Goleta)

FT/30-40 hrs. Responsible for regional HR needs including employee/intern/volunteer file management, employee assistance, employee relations, employee records tracking, etc. Must have related experience.  Bachelor’s degree preferred. Pay starts at $26 per hour.

RESIDENTIAL

Cook (Goleta)

PT/20 hrs. Responsible for preparing meals and snacks as well as ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.  Must have related experience with meal planning, preparation, and cooking for large groups.  Starting pay: $24 per hour.

Youth Partner- Swing Shift (Goleta)

FT and On-Call. Provide supervision, protection and care of the clients individually and in groups at all times.  This includes developing and maintaining relationships with each client that communicates acceptance, warmth, interest and understanding.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.  Starting pay: $24 per hour

Youth Partner- Overnight Shift (Goleta)

FT and On-Call. Responsible to supervise teenage girls in a residential program during sleeping hours. This includes completing and documenting regular bed checks, ensuring the location of each client, and ensuring a safe environment. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.  Starting pay: $24 per hour.

Youth Partner- School Shift (Goleta)

FT and On-Call. Responsible to supervise teenage girls in a residential program during their online school hours. This includes ensuring safe use of the internet, tutoring and ensuring the clients are staying on task.  Will also transport clients to off-site appointments as needed.  Must have a related bachelor’s degree.  Experience with special education is preferred.  Starting pay: $24 per hour.

Must be able to attend weekly staff meetings at the Silverdale office. Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Psychology or similar field, and at least 1 year of experience working with kids/youth. Must have flexible work hours, including some evenings and weekends when needed. Pay rate: $23-$25/hour

Independent living programs

Independent Living (IL) Case Manager (Tacoma)

FT/40 hrs. Provide case management services to 33-37 youth (case load will vary depending on census). Provide foster youth preparing to age out of foster care transitional support services, including but not limited to, housing, education, employment, basic life skills and permanency. Case managers will be responsible for initial intake through exit processes with youth and will serve eligible youth ages 15-23 years old. Services provided will be in compliance to the IL contract from Washington State. IL case managers work on behalf of the youth to equip each youth with the skills to successfully transition to independence. Qualified candidates must have at least a BA in Social Services, or similar field or an AA plus 3 years of documented experience working with children and families. Must have flexible work hours, including some evenings and weekends when needed. Must have reliable vehicle and be willing to drive within Pierce county with mileage reimbursement. Salary range $23-$24/hr DOE.

FT/40 hrs. Provide case management services to 18-20 youth (case load will vary depending on census) involved with Kitsap County Therapeutic Courts to equip youth with skills to successfully transition to independence. This includes; providing transitional support services, housing, education, employment and basic life skills to work toward permanency. Responsibilities include initial intake through exit processes with youth ages 15-19 years old, ensuring ILS contract compliance with Kitsap County. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social services or similar field. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive throughout Kitsap County with mileage reimbursement. Salary range $23-$24/hour.

Church Engagement

Church Engagement Outreach Associate (Clark County / Vancouver, WA)

FT/40 hrs. The Church Engagement Outreach Associate is responsible for the execution of Olive Crest’s church engagement strategy in assigned areas of the PNW with the goal of administration, recruitment, training and/or coordination of Church Advocates, Care Communities, Safe Families, and Foster Families. Will partner with Community Involvement Coordinators to create awareness of opportunities for church ministries and individuals to serve vulnerable children and families and work closely with the development team to grow church financial support. Bachelor’s degree preferred, or at least four years of relevant experience. Must have three or more years of work in a local church or non-profit organization. Must have experience in raising financial support. Must maintain a valid Washington Driver’s License and clean driving record in accordance with Olive Crest’s auto insurance policy. Must have a philosophy of support for at-risk children and families in line with the mission, visions, values, and statement of faith at Olive Crest. Salary range $55k-$75k DOE.

Host Families (Strong Families) Intake Coordinator (Spokane)

FT/40 hrs Will be responsible for client intake and coordination of hosting arrangements for Spokane. Will lead, plan and participate in community engagement activities that result in the development of partnerships with community resource providers and referring agencies (i.e. Collaboratives, Community fairs, one-on-one meetings, etc). The Intake Coordinator will be available to participate in engagement activities that result in the development of partnerships with the local faith community/Churches as needed (recruiting, developing, training, supervising Host (Strong) Families Program Church ministry leaders, volunteers, etc). Will also supervise volunteers and interns who assist with day-to day operations of community partnership/intake portions of program. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years experience working with at-risk youth and families. Salary range $23-$25 DOE.

DEVELOPMENT / FUNDRAISING

Development Intern – Unpaid

PT/10-20 hrs. as needed. Preference is to have someone from June – October, 2024, with a 3-month minimum commitment. Will work alongside development staff to assist in the preparation for our upcoming fundraising Gala. Procure, pick up, store and manage tracking and documentation for auction and raffle items for the event. Work with other event staff to package procured items for the event.
