Olive Crest is thankful to announce its $100,000 grant from City National Bank to support the construction of new, affordable housing for teens and young adults transitioning out of the child welfare system in Los Angeles County.

City National’s giving back to the local community supports the building of the new teen apartment homes currently under construction in the City of Bellflower. This grant directly funds construction costs for a new 14-unit apartment community that will provide safe, stable housing and supportive services for youth ages 18-24 who are at substantial risk of homelessness.

“Youth homelessness and housing insecurity remain urgent challenges in our region. The new development will expand Olive Crest’s housing capacity, ultimately serving up to 70 young adults annually with access to stable housing and comprehensive services such as job readiness training, mental health support, education assistance, and life skills development.

Youth aging out of the child welfare system face significant challenges, with many at risk of housing instability or homelessness shortly after leaving. Olive Crest’s housing model addresses these critical needs by combining permanent supportive housing with individualized, trauma-informed care that empowers young people to build independent, successful lives.
