We’re rooting for you, Jason – wishing you a smooth, speedy recovery. Your strength and spirit inspire us all to #StrikeOutChildAbuse, on and off the mound. Can’t wait to see you back in action!

San Diego is a dream locale—but it’s also the most expensive city in the U.S. Thousands of families here face:
- Homelessness
- Addiction
- Poverty
These conditions often lead to child abuse, neglect, and even sexual exploitation.
That’s why Padres All-Star pitcher, Jason Adam, and his wife Kelsey are teaming up with Olive Crest. For every strikeout he pitches, Jason sponsors one crisis hosting — $1,250 — to provide one child in crisis with a safe, loving home.
Jason Adam’s motivation for launching the campaign comes from a deep desire to give back and support children who may not have the same kind of stable, loving environment he grew up with. He acknowledges that while strikeouts are always a goal in the game, knowing that each one contributes to a meaningful cause makes them “a little bit sweeter.”
The funds donated to Olive Crest are used to provide a range of services for children and families in crisis, including emergency placements, training for host families, and ongoing support for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. The organization’s mission aligns closely with Adam’s values, making this partnership both strategic and heartfelt.
“It makes the strikeouts a little bit sweeter.”
– Jason Adam
A Crisis Hosting means a child in crisis gets a safe, loving home for a few nights or weeks.
Provides 1 safe night
Provides 1 crisis hosting (avg. 4.25 night)
Olive Crest provided 300 hostings and 8,000+ safe nights for kids in San Diego last year. Together, we can do even more!
Thanks to Jason & Kelsey Adam, the San Diego Padres—and YOU—we’re protecting kids from abuse, neglect, and sexual exploitation.
Let’s Strike Out Child Abuse.
One Pitch. One Child. One Life At A Time®.
