ADMINISTRATION and Development

Executive Administration Assistant

FT/40hrs. The Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director is responsible for all administrative functions that assist the director in efficiently and effectively achieving development, operational, financial and strategic goals of the region. An integral member of the core leadership team, this person interacts on behalf of the ED with trustees, donors, senior and executive leadership, volunteers, businesses, and staff as needed. Qualified candidates must have a minimum three years’ experience of administrative assistance to a senior level management position. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrate exemplary, professional written communication skills; ie. grammar, spelling, syntax, legible handwriting, and ability to professional articulate concepts and requests on behalf of the director. This position is at a salaried rate of $ $66,000/year.

Residential

Rehabilitation Specialist (Perris)

FT/40 hrs. Assists STRTP clients in learning the skills necessary to interact successfully with adults and peers across all settings. Creates opportunities for clients to practice pro-social behavior, problem solving, and coping skills which will prepare the clients to transition to a less restrictive family setting with minimal reliance on formal supports. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ previous Mental Health experience. (Weekends required). This position is at a hourly rate of $22.50/hour.

Youth Partner (Perris)

PT & FT. Responsible for the supervision of youth (males and females, ages 12-18) in a residential group home. This includes mentoring and being a good role model, teaching independent living skills, behavior modifications and crisis management. Qualified applicants must be at least 21 years of age. One year of previous residential experience in a related field preferred, but not required. Bachelor’s degree required. This position is at an hourly rate of $21/hour.

Wraparound

Facilitator (Riverside & High Desert)

FT/40 hrs. Facilitate Wraparound process for Child and Family Teams. Maintain highly coordinated communication with all family members, system partners, and other individuals involved in the life of the child and family.  Guide the Child and Family Teams in the development of Plans of Care and Crisis and Safety Plans according to Wraparound timelines. Qualified applicants must have a bachelor’s degree with two years of social work or casework employment in the field of family or child welfare services OR a master’s degree in a related field. Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as effective interpersonal and communication skills. Valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record as determined by Olive Crest’s insurance carrier. Bilingual (Spanish/English required). This position is at a hourly rate of $24/hour.

Behavioral Health Specialist (Riverside & High Desert)

FT/40 hrs. Provides direct service to children and families as identified in an individualized Wraparound plan of care. This position works independently in the family’s home and in a variety of community and/or treatment settings. Provides support services and skills training to children and family members including but not limited to behavioral modification programs, independent living skills, home management/household services, transportation assistance and temporary in-home caretaker. Qualified candidates must have Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and 1 year experience working with emotionally disturbed children in an institutional setting or 4 years’ experience working with emotionally disturbed children in an institutional setting. Reliable transportation, acceptable driving record and valid California DL required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. This position is at a hourly rate of $22.50/hr.

Parent Partner (Riverside)

FT/40 hrs. Provide guidance and support to families or caregivers in a variety of environments. This position will also frequently work independently in the family’s home and in a variety of community and/or treatment settings. Serves as a liaison for parent involvement and co-facilitates parent support. Must have previous relevant experience advocating for at-risk children/and or children with special needs, such as being the parent of or close family member of a child with special needs. Must possess a valid California driver’s license with a good driving as determined by Olive Crest’s insurance carrier, plus reliable transportation. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. This position is at a hourly rate of $21/hr.

Mental Health

Wraparound Clinician (Riverside)

FT/40 hrs. Provide therapeutic services to children and adolescents enrolled in the Wraparound program. Develop and implement client treatment plans and provide case management. Must be AMFT or ACSW with intern number or license (position can provide supervised hours toward licensure). Position requires previous experience working with at-risk children and/or adolescents, as well as crisis intervention training. Must be a flexible, creative thinker with great organizational skills and excellent communication skills. Previous Wraparound experience is helpful. Must possess a valid California driver’s license with a good driving as determined by Olive Crest’s insurance carrier, plus reliable transportation. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. This position is at a salaried rate of $70k/year.

Family Preservation

Child and Family Specialist (Glendale)

FT/40 hrs. The Child and Family Specialist, under the guidance of the Program Supervisor and functioning as a member of an assigned team, provides direct service to children and families. Mental Health

Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) Coach (Bellflower)

FT/40 hrs. The Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) Coach will provide immediate individualized behavioral assistance and 1:1 interventions with adolescents to provide additional short-term support to prevent placement in group home or locked mental health facility, or to facilitate a transition to a lower level of residential care. The TBS Coach will assist clients in enhancing daily living and independent living skills. This is a field-based position. We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and who have four year of experience working with high-risk youth. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Starting pay range $25-$26 per hour.

Clinician (Bellflower)

Case Manager (Bellflower)

FT/40 hrs. The Foster Case Manager will be responsible for supervising the placement for each assigned child and provide support for the child and resource parents, ensuring that each child’s unique needs are addressed. This position also ensures that each resource home is in compliance with all Olive Crest Resource Family policies, County policies and Title 22 policies, while instructing, training, and supporting resource parents as they provide healing care to children from hard places. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. The starting rate is $67,000 per year.

 

Comunity engagement

Community Engagement Manager (Bellflower)

FT/40 hrs. The Community Engagement Manager will act as a liaison between Olive Crest and the local community to provide opportunities for involvement. They will work closely with Program teams to ensure that families and children in our programs are being supported and needs are being met. The Community Manager will lead volunteer recruitment and community outreach program in Los Angeles. Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience in fundraising or community event organization.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. The starting rate is $67,000 per year.

Human Resources Unpaid Undergraduate Internship (Santa Ana)

10-12 hrs/wk. The intern will assist in regional HR matters.  This includes participating in the recruiting and onboarding processes, maintaining employee documents and participating in staff appreciation activities.  Must be in junior or senior year of undergrad program with a clean criminal record.

Donor Services Unpaid Undergrad Internship (Santa Ana)

10-12 hrs/wk. The intern will assist in the processing of donations by entering donations into our data base and generating acknowledgments.  Must be in junior or senior year of undergrad program with a clean criminal record and an understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.

Teacher (Garden Grove)

FT/40 hrs. Responsible for classroom management, curriculum based instruction, instruction aligned with Common Core Standards, and for the physical, psychological and social well-being of the students. Responsible to carry out instruction for students according to each student’s IEP.  Qualified candidates must have a valid Educational Specialist Credential or be Intern eligible. Starting rate of $60,000 per year.

Assistant Teacher (Garden Grove)

FT/ 40 hrs. Responsible for assisting teachers in guiding students in the classroom. Responsible for the transportation of students to and from school as directed by supervisor. Assist in record keeping, photocopying, tutoring, and behavior modification at educational site as needed. Qualified candidates must have at least an Associate’s degree or completed 2 years’ of post-secondary education. Related experience preferred. Youth Partner (Santa Ana)

FT, PT, Overnight. Supervise youth in a Residential group home. This includes mentoring and being a good role model, teaching independent living skills, behavior modifications, and crisis management. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or related field preferred but not required. Previous experience working with youth is preferred.  Starting pay rate of $21 per hour.

Serves as a liaison between the family and the system representatives. Provides mentoring and coaching to improve parent’s or caregiver’s ability to be a safe and stable support to clients. Qualified candidates must have related life experience as a parent or legal guardian of a child with special needs and experience as a recipient of services. Transitional Age Youth Case Manager (Santa Ana)

FT/40 hrs. Responsible for developing supportive relationship with youth in the program to help them achieve their identified goals. Provide therapeutic services to clients, assessment, treatment planning, individual, group and family therapy, discharge planning, participation in Child and Family Team. Parenting Education Administrative Assistant (Santa Ana) 

FT/40 hrs. Responsible for maintaining program database and providing general support in maintenance of participant files and in support of Program Director, Operations Coordinator, Program Supervisors, and parenting staff.  Assists with report preparation and dissemination to funders and other interested parties based on need and tracks outreach efforts made by program staff. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma. Fluency in Spanish preferred.  Starting pay rate of $20 per hour.

Wraparound Parent Partner (Santa Ana)

FT/40 hrs. Works directly with families to provide social and emotional support and serve as a liaison between the Family Team and the service systems serving the participants, through a mentoring/coaching relationship. Qualified candidates must have related life experience as a parent or legal guardian of a child and experience as a recipient of services. Must speak fluent Spanish and have related, personal experience as a parent or legal guardian of a recipient of social services.  Starting pay rate of $22 per hour.

Wraparound Clinician (Santa Ana) 

FT/40 hrs. Will provide therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families with the goal of achieving/maintaining stability for the children and families. Develop and implement client treatment plans. Complete progress notes and enter all information into program database. This position is predominantly field based. Qualified candidates must possess an MFT, MSW, or LPCC, and be registered with the BBS. Fluency in Spanish preferred. Starting pay rate of $32 per hour.

Wraparound Care Coordinator (Santa Ana)

FT/40hrs. Responsible for the coordination of care for clients, especially those involved with multiple systems of care. Facilitates Child and Family Team Meetings to ensure that Child, Family, and all formal and informal supports have voice in the process. Responsible for facilitating the development of the client’s integrated care plan. Qualified candidates must possess a related Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience or equivalent and speak fluent Spanish.  Starting pay rate of $23 per hour.

FT/40 hrs. Responsible for providing service within the context of Wraparound, which assists the child in learning the skills necessary to interact successfully with adults and peers across all settings.  This would include providing consistent, reinforcing support to youth that enables them to learn and practice pro-social behavior, problem solving, and coping skills in the least restrictive family setting with minimal reliance on formal supports.  Qualified candidates must possess a related Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience or equivalent and speak fluent Spanish. Child Care Assistant (Santa Ana)

PT/up to 10 hrs. Responsible to maintain a safe, pleasant, and playful environment for the children of parents attending an in-person instructor led Parenting Course. Will assist the instructors with facilitating questions and trouble-shooting technical issues during online courses. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma. Donor Development Associate (San Diego)

FT/40 hrs. Responsible to Fundraise for the San Diego region by interfacing with the community and major donors.  This role will take the lead for our Council of Volunteer Leaders who support Church Engagement and oversee our annual fundraising dinner.  Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience fundraising with non-profits and working with volunteers.  Starting pay range of $75,000 per year.

FOSTER AND ADOPTIONS

Foster Case Manager (San Diego) 

FT/40 hrs. Provide services and supervise the placement for each assigned foster child, as well as provide support for the child and foster parents. This includes ensuring that each child’s needs are met, making sure that each foster home follows all Olive Crest Foster Family Agency policies, County policies and Title 22 policies. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Unpaid Administrative Intern (San Diego)

PT/10-20 hrs. The Church and Community Engagement Intern is responsible for assisting Olive Crest’s Church and Community Engagement team in San Diego County whose goal is developing sustainable church ministries caring for families in crisis and at-risk children. This will include the administration, recruitment, training and/or coordination of Church Advocates, Care Communities, Safe Families, Foster Families and Biological Families. Will work alongside the Church and Community Engagement team to create awareness to expedite the timely certification of volunteers, for all aspects of Olive Crest’s church engagement strategy.

Unpaid Graduate Practicum (San Diego)

PT/10-20 hrs.  The practicum student will gain hands-on experience supporting foster families and youth. Opportunities to support case management services for 2-4 children including meeting the child’s overall needs, supporting the families’ needs, and learn best practices in supporting reunification when appropriate. You will also have opportunity to learn home studies and hone your skills in social work.

RESIDENTIAL

Cook (Goleta)

FT/40 hrs. Responsible for preparing meals and snacks as well as ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.  Must have related experience with meal planning, preparation, and cooking for large groups.  Starting pay: $23 per hour.

Overnight Support Staff (Goleta)

FT and On-Call. Supervise youth in a residential group home during their sleeping hours.  This includes performing regular bed checks, ensuring the safety of the girls, and overseeing their morning routines. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma and related experience.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.  Starting pay: $23 per hour

Foster Program

Child & Family Specialist (Silverdale)

FT/40 hrs. Provide case management services to 18-25 children. Supervise the intake for each placement, ensuring that each child’s needs are met, and provide support for the child and caregivers. Other responsibilities include instructing, counseling, training, and supporting caregivers in meeting the  child/youth’s needs and addressing any issues. Must be able to attend weekly staff meetings at the Silverdale office. Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Psychology or similar field, and at least 1 year of experience working with kids/youth. Must have flexible work hours, including some evenings and weekends when needed. Pay rate: $23-$25/hour

Licensing Coordinator (Silverdale)

FT/40 hrs. Oversight of licensing of qualified foster homes, in your geographic area. Ensure compliance with Licensing Division (LD) requirements, investigation of licensing complaints, recruitment, and retention of foster homes. Implement the directives of the Program Director overseeing the licensing process, re-licensing foster homes, and retaining current foster homes. Consult with case management staff regarding placement, home study and licensing issues. Communication with various (LD) contacts. Assist in ensuring accreditation, State and Olive Crest standards are being met. Ability to assist with trainings for foster parents. Prepare needed and as requested reports and data information. Willing to work some evenings and weekends in order to meet with families who are unable to meet during regular working hours or attend recruitment events/presentations. Read, edit, and approve Home Studies written for families in the licensing process. Participate in weekly program staff and licensing team meetings including supervision meetings with Licensing Supervisor. Assist with recruitment and retention strategies and implementation of foster families in assigned geographic area. Salary range: $23 – $25/hr.

Case Manager (Tacoma)

Homestudy Writer (Tacoma)

FT/40 hrs. OR On-call position available.
Conduct home study clinical interviews and write home studies in an effective and efficient manner while following all compliance standards set by DCYF Licensing Division and Olive Crest. Communicate and collaborate effectively with the Licensing team, Supervisor, and Program Director. Must be willing to work from the office on occasion and be present for meetings or when requested in person to sign appropriate paperwork. Qualified candidates must have a BA, but MA is preferred in Counseling, Social Work, Mental Health, or related field. Must have demonstrated clinical skills and formal training in mental health assessment, with knowledge and experience of in in-depth clinical interviewing.  Strong writing skills and clinical assessment skills required. Independent living programs

Independent Living (IL) Supervisor (Thurston County)

FT/40 hrs. Responsible for overseeing IL staff focused on providing independent living services to youth as they transition from foster care to independence.  Provide supervision to each case manager in the completion of documentation and paperwork. Provide daily supervision for case managers through oversight, clinical consultation, reviewing treatment plans, auditing case files, assisting in managing the IL budget (TL funds) and client ratios.  Monitor daily operation of IL program as appropriate including assignment of caseloads, conducting regularly scheduled groups and staff productivity.  Evaluate the services provided and outcomes achieved by the team.  Establish and oversee case management trainings to ensure compliance with all contracts, COA and WAC requirements.  Assist as needed with carrying a caseload. Pay rate: $26/hr.

MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAMS

Mental Health Program Director (Tacoma or Bellevue)

FT/40 hrs. This position provides clinical oversight and leadership to develop and operate Mental Health programs for families and children. This will include the following: Implement a Foster Parent counseling program which utilizes empirically based practices in family and milieu settings to promote health and stability amongst children who have been impacted by trauma; Train and supervise clinical counseling interns; Provide quality volunteer engagement opportunities; Assist in the continued development of our family and children counseling programs; Manage the operations and supervise the performance of services authorized by DCYF, MCO Coordinated Care and/or Navos, and DBHR Mental Health contracts; Act as a liaison between DCYF contract, DBHR services, budget and program staff, and Olive Crest’s Pacific Northwest combined Mental Health staff; Develop systems and programs to ensure contract compliance, productivity, and effective service delivery to Olive Crest children, youth and families.
