Here in Washington, there are 10,665 children in the child welfare system. Every one of these precious kids needs a strong family to protect and nurture them, and give them hope for a bright future.

Together we can put a stop to child abuse and ensure that families are whole, children are protected, and the cycle of abuse is broken.

PROGRAMS

Fostering

Do you feel called to host a child in your home? Whether you provide a child with a short-term stay or longer-term care, your loving home can be an incredibly important stop on their journey — one that leads them to a hopeful, healthy future. Each child is different, coming to us with all manner of abuse and neglect experiences, and requiring varying levels of care.

Independent Living Skills

Independent Living Skills is a comprehensive program that provides young adults aging out of the child welfare system (ages 18-23) with the support and training that is necessary to become independent and successful adults.

Host Homes for Children

Olive Crest provides a safe alternative to child welfare custody for struggling families in the Spokane area. Families are given time to address risk factors in their lives that, if left unattended, could result in substantiated abuse or neglect of children. Olive Crest provides an overwhelmed and resource-limited parent with a safe, temporary place for their child to stay, without threat of losing custody.

THE IMPACT ON CHILDREN, TEENS, AND FAMILIES IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST

HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES

Every child deserves a safe, loving home – and in the Pacific Northwest, you can help make that possible. Whether you give your time, your resources, or open up your home, your involvement brings hope and healing to children and families right here in our community.

Ways to Make an Impact
  1. Become an Olive Crest Family
Open your home and heart to a child in crisis. With full training and support, you can provide the safety and stability that changes the course of a child’s future.
  2. Volunteer Your Time
From mentoring youth to supporting events and tutoring, volunteers play a vital role in strengthening families. Your time and talents make a life changing difference.
  3. Join the Kids at Heart Community
Your monthly gift ensures that children and families in the Pacific Northwest have consistent care and resources all year long. Together, we can prevent abuse, restore hope, and equip families for lasting success.
  4. Partner with Olive Crest
Businesses, churches, and community groups are invited to partner with us through sponsorships, donations, drives, or hosting family support events. Together, we can create a safer community.

Every step you take strengthens families and protects children. At Olive Crest we say, “Everyone Can Do Something.” So, what’s your something?
