LOS ANGELES COUNTY’S NEW AND EXPANDED CHILDREN AND FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER

Thanks to the continuous commitment and contributions of our friends and supporters, we are thrilled to announce that we are expanding our services and reach to better serve our community in Los Angeles. We had been renting the previous Children and Family Resource Center in Bellflower for nearly 25 years, and as the years passed, we only saw an increase in services needed to help our community thrive.
Our newly purchased Children and Family Resource Center will allow us to be a beacon of hope to more children and families in crisis, offering them the life-saving services and support they deserve.
Even amidst challenges faced by all non-profits, Olive Crest continues to thrive, driven by our mission to strengthen, equip, and restore children and families in crisis.

You can find our new Children and Family Resource Center at 16911 Bellflower Boulevard, Bellflower, CA 90706.

If you’re interested in learning more about our plans for this expanded space, we’d love to give you a tour! Please don’t hesitate to contact Annamarie Dachtler (annamarie-dachtler@olivecrest.org) to set up a time that we can share more.
We can’t wait for all the life changing transformation that will happen within these walls and our surrounding community.

LOOKING AHEAD

We are filled with hope and anticipation for what lies ahead. Your continued partnership is instrumental in our mission to strengthen, equip, and restore children and families in crisis. Standing together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of thousands of children and families.
One of the most pressing issues faced by youth and teens in Los Angeles County is homelessness. Right now, there are over 103,000 young adults who are facing homelessness right here in our community.
To help save lives, we are evaluating plans for developing a safe, affordable apartment complex near our Children and Family Resource Center for teens (ages 18-24) who have aged out of the child welfare system. As plans are finalized, we will keep you all informed of the progress.

A HUGE THANK YOU

This last year, your commitment to the children and families we serve has allowed us to:
  • Provide support and resources for more than 3,800 children and families in crisis throughout Los Angeles.
  • Approve 45 NEW Olive Crest families who are welcoming children into their homes and providing safety, stability, and love.
  • Facilitate over 90 presentations and trainings to churches and community groups in order to educate about children in the child welfare system, share resources, and inspire people toward action.
  • Mobilize volunteers to serve more than 261,000 hours at events, resource-drives, and by caring for kids impacted by isolation, neglect, or abuse.
  • Raised almost $1,000,000 in contributions for children and families in crisis in Los Angeles county.
