What is Parenting Education?

Parenting Education is a countywide program that provides services to all Orange County residents 18 and over, to provide education, tools, and skills to increase the parent/child relationship. The parenting education program serves diverse communities and individuals of diverse backgrounds and family structures.

The program’s mission is to educate families to create stronger and safer communities. The program uses evidence-based curriculums that target parents or caretakers of children between the ages of 0-18. The program offers parenting courses in the following languages: English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Farsi, and Arabic to ensure that we are serving diverse populations.

Our courses are 6 or 7 weeks long and start at different days of the month.

We offer parenting classes based on the principles of building relationships and empowering caregivers with tools for an active parenting style. Visit our general flyers for further details.

Courses are at NO COST to Orange County residents, funded by the Orange County Health Care Agency.

Yes, partners or family members may take the same class. Individual registration forms and attendance will be noted for both virtual and in person classes.

We offer courses in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Farsi, and Arabic.

Courses are available in-person through various sites in Orange County and virtually through Zoom. Please fill out the form or call for a schedule of monthly courses.

Yes! You are welcome to take the course as many times as you would like. Certificates will only be granted for each fully completed course.

We offer courses in three different curriculums that target different age groups: First Five Years (ages 0 to 5), School-Aged (ages 6 to 12), and Teens (ages 13 to 18).

The courts and social workers throughout Orange County have recognized our courses as an adequate parenting course. Please check with your legal counsel or case worker to ensure this is the right course for you. A completion certificate will be granted to participants who successfully complete the course.

Pre-registration is required. You will need to reach out to the contact listed on the flyer of the course you wish to start.
