In a critical step to combat human sex trafficking, Olive Crest has launched a comprehensive initiative across Southern California to provide underage survivors of human sex trafficking with immediate safety, essential services, and a pathway to stable housing.

a coordinated response to sex trafficking

Our initiative addresses this crisis through five key components:

  1. Drop-In Centers: Providing immediate services and fulfilling basic needs.
  2. Rapid Response Teams: Operating 24/7 to connect youth with trauma-informed independence.
  3. Teen/Young Adult Housing: Offering safe spaces for 16- to 18-year-olds to develop independence.
  4. Trained Host Families: Providing specialized care in loving homes to children who have been sex trafficked.
  5. Residential Homes: Including our Hope Refuge Campus in Santa Barbara, which provides intensive services.

Through these efforts, Olive Crest aims to provide safe, stable homes to at least 150 children who have been sex trafficked by 2027.

This initiative began with the opening of the first three of seven drop-in centers located in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Diego counties, combined with round-the-clock rapid response teams to assist victims to safety and housing.

voices of support

Chief Rick Armendariz, Anaheim Police Department

“Having a partner like Olive Crest with the depth and breath of experience and regional presence across county lines, be it Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside County, and beyond, is exactly what law enforcement needs to provide these children and teens with the support they need regardless of where they are from.”

Sheriff Robert G. Luna, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department

“A significant challenge in this effort is securing safe housing, food, clothing, and trauma-informed counseling for victims. That’s why these drop-in centers are so crucial – they provide a safe haven for youth to turn to at any time, helping us better protect young people at risk of exploitation.”

Nathan Hochman, Los Angeles County District Attorney

“I am so impressed by what Olive Crest has come up with – drop-in centers that provide safety, that provide stability, that people who don’t have that in their lives, can come here and begin the process to recognize their own self-esteem and break from the traffickers who have exploited them. It starts with placed like Olive Crest.”

Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson, Owner and President of In-N-Out Burger and Founder of Slave 2 Nothing
