What is TBS?

Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) is a specialty mental health service that helps children and young adults who have behavioral and emotional challenges.  These boys and girls may live in a placement or be at risk of placement,  may have been hospitalized recently for mental health issues or be at risk for psychiatric hospitalization.

How Does TBS Work?

A TBS coach works one-on-one with the child or youth in his or her home or community. Parents, teachers and other caregivers may also be involved in the therapy, which has the goal of reducing and managing challenging behaviors, and replacing them with strategies that can help the child or adult succeed in a home environment.
