Community Engagement

Community Engagement Director (Bellflower)

FT/40 hrs. The Community Engagement Director is responsible for the implementation, administration, and execution of Olive Crest’s church and community engagement strategy in the Los Angeles region. This includes initiating, maintaining, and establishing long-term church and community partnerships with the goal of developing sustainable ministries in the care of at risk children/youth. This also includes directing the planning, launch, organization, recruitment, training, and care of volunteers for Safe Families, Foster Families, Care Communities, and Bio-Care Teams and overseeing all aspects of Community Engagement volunteer training and resourcing of Biological parents.  The position will also be responsible for initiating, developing, and maintaining partnerships with community resource providers and referring agencies to create referral base and resource network for Safe Families, as well as supervising the Community Outreach Team in the region.  Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.  Candidates must also have 5 or more years of work experience at a professional level and an ability to communicate and work effectively with members of the faith community as well as with staff and volunteers involved in church and community outreach activities.
