Annual Report

Dear Friend,

Our 2021 fiscal year began in the middle of the COVID-19 global pandemic. For many, this season will forever be remembered as a time of uncertainty, loss, and isolation. Even now, we are just beginning to understand the far-reaching consequences of this history-shaping moment.

Yet, the turmoil will not be the only thing this year is remembered for.

This was a year which brought us together, and together we found new ways to carry out our important mission. A year when our partnerships became more integral, as we depended more than ever on the generosity and creativity of these relationships. A year when YOU, our Olive Crest families, supporters, and volunteers rose to the occasion to create a lasting impact for thousands of children and families in crisis.

I have no doubt that our 5 decades of strengthening, equipping, and restoring children and families in crisis, prepared Olive Crest for “a moment such as this.” A moment when the power of God, family, and community, would shine as a beacon of hope no matter how dark the crisis may appear.

For these reasons (and more), I am pleased to report that despite the frequent challenges of the past year, because of you, our 2021 fiscal year ended as one of the most successful years in our 48 year history.

As we look toward the future, our resolve is unshaken. If the devastating effects of a global pandemic would not stop us, then we are all the more confident that we will reach our vision to serve 1.2 million children and families in crisis by 2030. It is my hope that the pages that follow will provide a small glimpse of our ongoing work and mission, as well as a clear picture of how we have faithfully stewarded the financial resources you have entrusted to us.

I’m honored to work with such a remarkable community of friends, families, and champions. Thank you!

Leadership

Sincerely,

Donald Verleur II
